Transform your classroom into a scene straight from a fairy tale by hanging floral garlands and fairy lights from the ceiling. You could also create a book display that features some of your student’s favorite fairy tales. Bonus points if you create a reading nook that looks like a mini castle!

5 | Beach Themed Classroom
Transform your room into a tropical beach by adding beach chairs, a tiki umbrella and even a window with a view of the ocean. There are a lot of fun decorations you can add like palm trees, pineapples and starfish! Choose classroom rugs in sandy beiges and ocean blues.

6 | Camping Classroom Theme
Camping is a favorite theme for young students. You can turn desks into tents by getting plastic tablecloths from the Dollar Store. Another fun idea is to borrow the tent from your garage and turn it into your calm down corner or reading nook.
You could also add a faux camp fire as a focal point of your circle time spot where you read books to students. Have students sit on tree stump cushions like these!

7 | Disney Classroom Theme
If you’re a Disney fan, then why not transform your learning space into the happiest classroom on earth? Here are some ideas to pull that off:
- Add Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Lilo and other favorite Disney characters to your decor.
- Find some fun Disney themed treats for your class like Mickey ice cream.
- Add inspirational Disney messages like, “Just Keep Swimming,” from Finding Nemo.

One of the most popular themes this year and my personal favorite is the varsity patch and composition notebook theme. If you want to add this colorful theme to your classroom, choose lettering and graphics inspired by varsity jackets.

A new classroom theme idea that is so much fun is the sparkly retro cowgirl theme! This theme is all about western items with a feminine touch. Here’s how to pull of this theme in your class:
- Add girly western graphics like pink cowgirl boots, hats and spurs.
- Also incorporate some retro graphics like disco balls and smiley faces.

21 | Retro Classroom Theme
The retro look has been very popular for classroom decor. I’ve been seeing a lot of teachers jumping on this trend and finding creative ways to add a 70’s vibe to their classroom space.
A great way try this trend in your class is to add retro graphics like smiley faces, daisies, peace signs and vintage patterns. Next you’ll want to choose from two color schemes. You can either choose a soft color palette with pastels and a little bit of boho or choose vibrant colors with some black and white accents.

22 | Daisy Classroom Theme Ideas
Daisy is very fun, cute and playful classroom theme idea! There are three different ways you can go with the daisy theme in my opinion.
You could go for a boho daisy also called daisy dreams. Choose this theme if you want to create a calming classroom with a neutral color scheme.
The second choice is to go with a retro daisy theme. Choose this one if you love the 70’s, hippie vibes.

Next, let’s check out some creative classroom themes for a themed day or week in your classroom. These would be fun for an end of year classroom celebration!
23 | Carnival and Circus Theme
Kindergarten teacher Taylor transformed her classroom into a carnival for an end of the year party. She incorporated carnival games to review skills learned during the year. Here are some examples:
- Bottle ring toss- Put letters on the bottom of plastic bottles. When students get their ring on a bottle, they will draw something that starts with that letter.
- Can Knock Down- Have Students work on subtraction after they try to throw a bean bag to knock down a stack of cans!
24| Secret Agent Themed Classroom
Turn students into secret agents with this theme. This would be fun for a themed week where your students can solve mini mysteries and decode secret messages with a black light!
25 | Hollywood Classroom Theme with red Carpet
In a Hollywood themed classroom, you treat your students like movies stars! Transform classroom doors into a VIP stage door entrance with a red carpet. Hang gold stars from the ceiling. Popcorn containers can be the perfect storage for school supplies.
