Pantry Organization

Why not dive right in and start with what’s the biggest mess for most of us… the pantry? If you have a hard time keeping your pantry organized, you’re not alone.

My best tip for this is to start over, yes take it all out and be thoughtful of how you put it back. Organize like food together, all the snacks, all the canned goods etc.

When you have food organized in groups, you’ll get a better sense of what you need. For example, would baskets help corral all the chips or a lazy susan work for your canned goods? Check out these ideas below to get you started.

Decide if You Want to Decant

When you’re organizing your pantry one of your first decisions is to decant or not to decant? I personally love the neat look of removing items from store packages and putting them in matching containers.

If you decide to decant be sure to get clear jars with tight lids to keep your food fresh. I like this set because they’re stackable and come with labels.

Cereal Containers

Check out the cereal containers in this pantry. For your cereal you’ll want to get containers made for cereal that’ll make it easier to pour and are airtight so it doesn’t get stale.

Snack Organization

Here’s some inspiration to organize your snacks. Some snacks like pretzels and crackers can be decanted and put in airtight containers.

Others like granola bars you can put in large clear containers so you can see what you have. You can use large wicker baskets for chips, drinks and other misc. snacks.

Have you ever sworn you had something in your pantry but just couldn’t find it when you wanted it? Where’s my cheesy potato soup?!?

Great organization includes leaving space for your items and not cramming it all together. This’ll save you so much time when you’re looking for something.

If you have a huge pantry like this, then storing appliances in there will help free up your coveted counter space.
