For your class Valentine’s Day party, you’ll want to plan some fun party games to get your whole class engaged and learning too. Check out some fun game ideas for your Valentine’s party that involve problem solving, reading, writing and math skills below.
1 | Valentine’s Day Escape Room Game
Here’s a fun Valentine’s Day game that will reinforce literacy skills too. Here’s how it works:
- Students will learn that 8 people were at a Valentine’s Day party when two people were struck by cupids bow and fell in love. They’ll then need to solve who is cupid.
- Students will get 8 Valentine’s day non-fiction riddles to solve.
- Then they’ll read interviews and record evidence.
- Finally students will write about who they think cupid is and will use evidence from their investigation to support their opinion.

2 | Musical Hearts
Here’s a fun way to get kids moving. You play musical hearts just like musical chairs, but you use heart shaped papers on the floor. For a fun Valentine’s Day twist play love songs that your students love. When the music stops kids have to stand on a heart.
Students who are not standing on a heart are out of the game. Remove a heart each round to increase the challenge.
3 | Valentine’s Day Bingo
Bingo is a great game for the classroom that your students will have a lot of fun with. You can find these printable bingo cards on Etsy here. You can give students Valentine candy like conversation hearts to use as their markers!
4 | Cupids Arrow Toss
Here’s a simple game that you can copy for your class. First scope out the Dollar Store for toy arrows, and plastic rings. Have students take turns tossing the arrows into the rings to score points.
5 | Pin the Heart on the Bumble Bee
Here’s an easy game idea to add to your Valentine’s Day party. Have student play pin the heart on the bumble bee instead of pin the tail on the donkey. You can find the game on Amazon here.
6 | Guess the Candy Jar
Here’s a fun game that will test your student’s estimation skills. Fill a jar with candy hearts. Have students guess how many candies are in the jar. The closest guess wins the jar full of candy!
7 | Valentine’s Day Mad Libs Game

8 | Valentine’s Day Word Searches
You can prepare a list of scrambled words with a Valentine’s Day theme like love, heart and rose. This game helps students develop problem solving skills. If you want an easy option you can purchase this printable Word scramble from Etsy here. Then you just download and print for your students.
Valentine’s Day Activities
If you want to add Valentine’s Day classroom party activities a great way to do it is with stations. You can set up stations with one activity each and have students in small groups switch after a certain amount of time.

9 | Valentine’s Day Slime
A fun idea would be to add a station where students can make Valentine slime. Make sure you have a parent volunteer to make sure students don’t eat ingredients! Here’s what each student will need:
- ½ cup Elmer’s glue (White glue, clear glue, or glitter glue, use clear or glitter glue for clear glitter slime)
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp. Borax Solution
- 1 Tbsp. Red Food Coloring (You can skip if you want clear glitter slime)
- Glitter (heart glitter works great!)
- 2 Bowls
Instructions:
- First fill two bowls with ½ cup water each.
- Add ½ cup of glue to the first bowl. Mix well and then stir in the glitter and or food coloring.
- Add Borax Solution to the second bowl and mix.
- Stir the 2 bowls together. It will get goopy. Mix until the liquid is dissolved.
10 | You Stole a Pizza My Heart Card
A fun activity for your party would be to have students create these Pizza cards for a friend or family member.
- Have students write a sweet message to someone special on the other side of the pizza.
- Then glue the top, so that the pizza will flip up to reveal the message.
The best part is students can work on their writing skills with this activity.

Students can create these pretty Valentine boxes with simple supplies. Encourage students to bring in boxes like shoe boxes or tissue boxes. Provide students with construction paper, paper heart doilies and foam hearts and let them get creative!

Here’s a great idea that’s a snack and a game in one! Each student will get a graham cracker and X and O sprinkles. Students can draw the tic tac toe squares on the graham cracker with pink icing in an easy to use tube. Students can challenge a classmate to a couple games of tic tac toe.
