Creating an accent wall is one of my favorite boy nursery ideas. In the room pictured the wood accent wall makes the room. When it comes to installation you may not know where to start.
Not a problem, they make easy solutions to create the same look. Below you'll see my choice for wallpaper that looks like beach wood.
The black, white & grey color scheme is gorgeous and modern. If you're dying for a little color, you could always choose one accent color to introduce into the room with little accessories such as a pillow or a pouf.
I'm a huge fan of the whimsical wall art. I love the idea of introducing a sweet or inspirational quote in your baby’s nursery. My favorite is the one I found below. Check it out and tell me if you love it too.
All of my favorite finds to copy the style can be found below.

This nursery is one of my all-time favorites. They chose a cactus theme and just went for it. The huge cactus was a DIY string art project!
This's a great example of a truly unique nursery theme. You don’t have to stick to the traditional themes that you always see.

If you love this boy nursery idea and want to steal the style, stick to a green and white color scheme. Adding touches of natural color would look amazing as well.
The other selections in the room compliment the theme. I love how they've mixed a modern and a boho style. They've definitely created a one-of-a-kind space. To score the boy nursery bedding and other similar finds see below.

Let’s talk about this accent wall for a sec. Polka dots are a fun and playful boy nursery idea. If you're going to do an accent, I think the wall behind the crib is an awesome choice.
I recommend the crib and the accent wall on the opposite wall of the door, if you can. That way you walk in the room and the first thing you see is the crib and the gorgeous accent wall.
For this accent wall there're a few ways to accomplish this. You could get modern dotted wallpaper, add dots with paint, or the easiest method, polka dot wall decals.
I did this in my daughter’s room, and I get tons of compliments. It's easy, cheap and not permanent. Below there's a link to white polka dot decals that would look awesome on the walls.
This's one of my favorite cribs. You can find it here. The mix of white and natural plus, the modern lines with the delicate feet. It makes a statement… that says I’ve got style!
I love the sophisticated neutral color scheme that they chose for this room. If you copy this color scheme add white, black and brown. This will transition with your boy as he grows.

Wall decals are an easy way to create an accent wall in your nursery. There are tons of fun wall decals to choose from. Simply select your favorite and then stick them on the wall behind the crib.
The fun part is that they don’t have to be uniform. Choose a wall decal with color to add a little interest to the room. In the picture this is actually wallpaper but you can create the same look so much easier with wall decals.
If you're loving this boy nursery idea, I found some wall decals below and additional finds that'll create a similar look in your son’s nursery.

Most nurseries incorporate some wall art. Why not make the art the central focus of the room? To do this choose three to four large prints that are the same theme and group them together.
Notice how they hung the frames horizontally over the crib and on the wall to the left of the crib they have another grouping that creates a square. Above the crib they have chosen black and white animal prints by Kate and Laurel. To look at the entire art collection go here.
I love how they incorporated plants throughout the space to give it a natural vibe and instantly liven up the room. The color scheme is natural and neutral so that it draws our eye to the animals on display.
I've looked at a lot of cribs and this is one of my favorites. The modern look and color would look chic in any nursery. To see all of the cribs I recommend in every category including best storage, best modern, best price and more check out my post 10 Best Modern Cribs Compared.

What I love about this idea is it's simple! But it's also bold and creates an instant statement. In this nursery they've used wood panels to create their accent wall.
You can also simply paint the wall black. I've also seen this done with black chalkboard paint which looks awesome and will be fun for him as he grows.
I recommend sticking to just one wall so the room is not too dark, and the best wall is often the wall opposite the door and put the crib there as well.
Set off the black wall with white furniture such as a white crib and a white dresser or changing table. Try adding a black and white area rug to give the room interest and dimension. The gold custom name sign really pops against the black wall.

I wanted to show you this space as well because I think it's another gorgeous example of taking a classic theme and putting a modern twist on it. They accomplished this by choosing pieces that are modern such as the table, the wall art and the toy bins.
I love that they were not afraid to add color, fun art and interesting painted walls. It just ends up looking like such a fun room for a boy. If you steal this style this room will take your son into his toddler years and beyond.

Adding a graphic wallpaper behind the crib is a great way to make a statement in your son’s nursery.
If you're looking for baby boy room ideas for small spaces this nursery is a great inspiration. Many people might be afraid that a large graphic will overtake a small space. But, as you can see by this example it adds character to the room.

Wallpaper work just as well in a large nursery too. Just choose a bold graphic wallpaper that incorporates your color scheme and go for it!

If you're stuck and having a hard time coming up with ideas to decorate your son’s nursery, why not start with a jaw-dropping light fixture?
Then from there you can choose pieces that have the same style but don’t need to compete with the light fixture. Like in this nursery they have chosen simple, modern furniture and a simple color scheme.

I've already shown you bold and bright graphic wallpaper and here's another idea. Create an accent wall with neutral, modern graphic wallpaper. The wall then becomes the central focus of the room and really sets this nursery apart.
Choose the wall opposite the door and place the crib in front of your accent wall. Take a cue from this room and pair the modern wallpaper with modern furniture and wall art. Here they have kept the color scheme simple and neutral, and it just works!
To copy this boy nursery idea, stick to the neutral color combo of white, grey and tan.

The star of this room is the wooden brick 3-D wall. Have you ever seen a wall like this? This wall is made of teak wood that comes in a brick pattern.
Several bricks are together in one tile that has a mesh netting on the back and can be easily glued to the wall. Check out the link below to learn more about this product.
Since the wall makes a statement on its own, you can keep the rest of the nursery rather simple. In the nursery pictured they chose very natural colors with a modern twist on a lion theme.
