Here are a few ideas that are easy to implement and used by designers all the time:
Now let's explore all of these seven bedroom interior design ideas in detail.
If you’re not sure where to start with your bedroom interior design, an accent wall is a great first step to make a huge impact in your bedroom. You can let this wall guide your other décor choices.
There are several unique ideas that you can use to create your accent wall from brick, wood, wallpaper or the simplest, paint. Check out some inspiration below to pull off an accent wall in your room.

My first tip for your accent wall is to create it on the wall behind your bed. If your room allows it, it’s best to have the wall you first see when you walk in the door. This’ll give you that wow factor every time you enter the room.
Julia, from Alabama, used a stylish herringbone pattern with shiplap to create this stunning accent wall. There are other options that create a similar effect such as faux wood panel wallpaper or reclaimed wood planks.

If you’re lucky enough to have amazing architecture like a unique shaped wall then take advantage and make this your accent wall. Brick is always a show stopper. It instantly creates a design feel in your room.
If you love this look but aren’t into masonry work you could try brick wallpaper. You’ll be surprised with how real it looks! Here is my favorite white one and here is a pretty red one.

Wallpaper is another great option for an accent wall. What I love about this idea is there are so many gorgeous wallpapers now. The hardest part will be picking your favorite.
Read on and I’ll show you some of my favorite wallpapers for creating an accent wall.

Last, I wanted to show you the easiest option for an accent wall, paint. You can simply paint the wall behind your bed a different color then all the others. A dark color that you don’t want to paint the whole room works great as an accent wall, especially if your room has natural light.
Sarah, an interior designer from Northwest U.K., shows us how it’s done. She painted the wall behind her bed a dark grey, while the others are a pure white and it gives the room a cozy feel without feeling too dark.
Below check out some of my favorite finds to easily create an amazing accent wall in your bedroom.

This is the baby step of the idea above. If you don’t want to spend the time creating an accent wall then creating a focal point with wall décor is another show stopping idea.

Another way to create an epic bedroom interior design is with layering. Layering a combo of fabrics and materials is an easy way to create that cozy feeling in your bedroom that everyone wants. You can start with the bed by layering sheets, duvets, throw blankets and pillows.
But why stop there? You can use your headboard, rugs, curtains and other décor as an opportunity to add layers to your room. Play with different textures, patterns and colors to create depth and interest in your bedroom.
Check out the ideas below to see how to pull it off.

This bedroom is a gorgeous example of layering in boho style. Look at all the layers of the bedding alone, not to mention the décor and the rug. The different colors and textures add a lot of interest to the room and create a warm and cozy feel.
If you want to steal this style look for neutral colors with plenty of textures when shopping for bedding and add natural accents like plants or wicker.

Ok, so if your following along you may have plenty of plans for your bedroom makeover. The rug is one of the final pieces that you can use to tie it all together.
If your room is very dark you can use a light rug to brighten it up. If you room seems a little uncoordinated take the different colors throughout and find a rug that incorporates them all for a pulled together look.
Room a little boring? Add a rug with texture, vibrant colors or a pattern to spice it up. Or if you hate your carpet adding a cute rug on top is cheaper than a total replacement.
You can take some inspiration from some of my favorite rooms with gorgeous rugs below.
