I put this idea first because it's the easiest, cheapest and it's the most important, in my opinion. A welcoming sign says so much about you as the homeowner to your visitors. I like to find one that portrays a welcoming and loving message to my friends and family. Below are my favorite front entries with beautiful welcoming signs.

So, if you put a table by your front door it tends to get cluttered with all the stuff, right? I mean keys, purses, backpacks, dog leashes, groceries and whatever else.
I speak from experience with three kids and two dogs we're guilty of this at my house. A great way to avoid this mess is to purposely style your entry table so there is no room for all the clutter.
Get some styling inspiration from the entry tables pictured below.

Take a cue from Mia, an interior designer from Michigan, and layer objects when styling your entry table. You can place an object on a stack of books like a plant, vase or a bowl. Try varying the heights and the scale of the objects on the table to add interest.

When table styling if you're not sure where to start try adding two tall objects at both ends of the table, lamps or vases work great. Then in the middle you can place smaller decorative items such as candles, small containers, books or a pretty bowl to hold your keys.
