Plan Your Linen Closet Design
The first thing to do when you make the decision to organize your linen closet is plan your design. First, assess how many towels, sheets, and other items that you want to fit in this closet. This is the time to get rid of or donate what you no longer need.
Next, consider what you need to access the most often and be sure to plan a spot for those items on easy to reach shelves. Be mindful of large or heavy items that might work best on lower shelves. You don’t want to grab a huge heavy basket off the top shelf.
At this point you can start to plan how many containers or baskets you’ll need to corral all the stuff. Check out these gorgeous closets below to get some ideas.

To help simplify invest in high quality white towels for all your bathrooms. That way they can all be interchangeable and you can do one white load with bleach every week.

Baskets on the bottom shelf are a great storage solution for items that you need to access regularly like toilet paper. Here are similar natural rope baskets.
When designing your closet make it look attractive by choosing baskets or containers that you love and that way you’ll be motivated to keep it tidy, especially if you have clear doors!

Carve out a spot for cleaning supplies in the middle of the closet so that you can easily reach them when needed.

When you’re planning your linen closet organization and deciding how many baskets you’ll need group like items together and consider if it’ll work for your design to stack baskets on top of each other.
If you have a linen closet this large, first I’m jealous and second, take your time to plan out your design. Take an inventory of what you have before you start shopping for baskets and containers so that you can create a space that works for your lifestyle. Good organization should make your life easier!
Create mini sections for like items. For example, place all of your laundry essentials on one shelf. This’ll make it easier to find what you need.
Linen Closet Towel Storage Options
The number one thing in our closets to organize is towels. There are tons of different options for folding and storing them. You can fold them in half, thirds, quarters or roll them. It often looks best to do a mix of several different options. You’ll want to experiment to find the best folds for the space you have. Check out some different fold options in these pretty closets below to get you started on making the most of your linen closet organization.
Might as well take some lessons in folding towels from Joanna Gaines herself! She uses the trifold method. When you do this the edges of the towel are not visible and are not sticking out at all. To do this you just fold your towel into thirds vertically and then fold them horizontally again in thirds as well.
Another pro tip is to add interest to the linen closet by varying which way the towels face.
Add even more variety by rolling some of the towels too.

Living Room Arrangement Ideas
One of the first things you’ll want to think about for your living room design is the placement of the furniture. This will depend on your space, the main activity of the room and how many focal points the room has. The living room focal point is usually a fireplace, a TV, or a view. Take out a piece of paper and sketch out a floor plan idea and make sure the function makes sense. Then start experimenting with your favorite layouts. Check out some of the best living room ideas below for furniture placement inspiration.

A tip from this living room is to not put your furniture against the walls. Bring it close enough for people sitting in all of your furniture to have a conversation without shouting at each other.

Picking the Right Couch for Your Living Room
One of the most important decisions you will face when designing your living room is what couch to pick. You’ll want to pick something that works for your lifestyle and your family. Think about comfort, style, couch shape, and materials. I always start by perusing the furniture stores and taking dimensions and pics of all my favorites. Then I go home and see how it would fit in my living room. Check out some inspiration below of living rooms centered around their beautiful couches.

Photo Collage Wall in Your Living Room
This next idea is similar to the one above but this time you are creating an entire photo collage wall. These are so fun to make! First, you’ll want to start gathering your favorite art and photos. They can be all different sizes. It looks fabulous if you find something that ties them all together. For example, the same color frame, all black and white photos, or all modern art pieces. When you have it all together you will want to experiment with the layout before you place it on the wall. One way to do this is to use paper the same sizes as the frames and tape it on the wall to see how it looks before you start nailing. Check out some inspiration below to get you started.

My Farmhouse Bathroom Makeover
Ok, so now that I’ve shown you the inspiration, let’s see how it turned out. I spared you the before pics, you didn’t want to see those anyway!
My Farmhouse Bathroom Shelves
I loved the idea of the shelves over the toilet. I got these ones and then the fun part was adding the decor! The candle is from T.J Maxx. I dried the hydrangeas from the yard and put them in these pretty little buckets. There were so many cute bathroom signs to choose from. Here is the one I choose from Etsy. I found the bless you tissue box on Amazon.
When you’re decorating you should look around your house at what you already have and see if you can incorporate it into your décor. Everyday bathroom items work great as décor. I rolled up some hand towels we had and then I added one of our mason jars with cotton balls.
My Farmhouse Bathroom Sign
I thought the wall across from the toilet would be perfect for one of those cute farmhouse signs. I fell in love with this vintage looking one from Etsy. This cute mini lambs ear wreath is also from Etsy, and what I love most about it is it smells amazing. You can actually choose from tons of different scents! I choose vanilla.
My Bathroom Makeover Farmhouse Shower Curtain
I chose a shower curtain that is light and bright with both stripes and tassels, which is a farmhouse win in my book. The shower curtain and the bath rug are from Target. Here is a similar curtain and bath mat.
I found this simple chicken wire basket that is sitting on the top of the toilet on Amazon and it’s perfect to hold a few rolls of TP.
My Farmhouse Bathroom Towels
I love the texture on the towels and the tassels give them that farmhouse feel. I got these ones from Target, here are similar ones.
My Farmhouse Bathroom Accessories
I also had a lot of fun adding the farmhouse décor to the counter. This is something I’ll always be changing up. This is a great place to add seasonal touches throughout the year. The hand towels are again from Target, you can find similar ones here.
I got the glass vase with the rope design from Home Goods, here are similar ones. The faux flowers were from Hobby Lobby. Small dainty flowers give a farmhouse touch especially in glass or rustic vases. White lavender would look great too or eucalyptus leaves.
I love a group of glass jars in the bathroom because it’s functional and pretty. I filled mine with Q-tips, cotton balls and bath salts.
My final touch is one of my favorites. I created a little hand wash station. Most of the bath soaps I got from this cute little Etsy shop. I scored this little tray at TJ Maxx, and here are similar soap dispensers.
If you want to steal the style of my farmhouse bathroom below are all my finds.
FARMHOUSE BATHROOM DÉCOR | WHERE TO FIND
ONE | FRESH SOAP & WATER SIGN
TWO | MINI SCENTED FARMHOUSE WREATH
THREE | BLESS YOU TISSUE BOX COVER
FOUR | FARMHOUSE TOWEL SET
FIVE | SOAP & LOTION DISPENSERS
SIX | SET OF 2 RUSTIC WALL SHELVES
SEVEN | SET OF 3 SMALL METAL BUCKETS
EIGHT | MALE & FEMALE BATHROOM SIGN
NINE | SET OF 2 GLASS JARS
Well, that completed my farmhouse bathroom makeover. Like I said earlier, I just made six changes to steal that farmhouse style. I added shelving, a shower curtain, a TP holder, towels, a farmhouse sign and farmhouse décor. I’m sure I’ll keep adding little touches because that’s what I do. But I’m really happy with how it turned out. Hope you got a few ideas and are ready to take on a farmhouse bathroom makeover of your own. If you like this post please share it!
